Singapore Expats

Hi All,

After recieving In Principle Approval Letter(PEP) which visa i apply from
India for issuance of PEP pass to enter in to the singapore.

Read the In Principle Approval Letter if you have it already. It should have the a Single journey visa embedded into it.

The IPA should act as a single entry visa. Upon arrival you will be granted 30 days visit pass which should give you enough time to go to MOM and get the PEP card issued.

You mean to say i buy the ticket and go to Singapore, Up on arrival to Singapore i show my documents and get my STVP stamped on immigration check point Singapore to further process my PEP application.

OR

i apply for STVP from my home country.

May be you need to read it once and there would be a small line which says that this letter can be used to enter Singapore using a Single entry visa.

More than likely, the pass said exactly what you said. Which in other words, it will smooth the way for any country that has to get a visa granted to enter Singapore (I believe your country requires one, correct? You cannot get a visa on arrival so I've been led to believe - I could be wrong). So the IPA only gives a valid reason for the issuance of the visa to come here, it doesn't replace the need to get one though. Soooooo, the AIP is not a visa but with it, you can get a visa issued. The rest of my statement? If you have 80 cents and the AIP you can buy a cup of Kopi. Of course, you can buy the Kopi without the AIP as well. You can do the same with the visa.

If I am correct, Indians need to present the AIP in the Singapore Mission and get the SVP issued before coming here, unless something changed and Indians get Arrival Visa ..
