Singapore Expats

Hello all, I will try and keep this long story short-
I came to Singapore two years ago on a job offer while I was partway through my college career. I never finished my degree, and now that I've had time to settle in I feel like it's time for me to get back to school. I'm coming to the realization that my college work in the US is essentially worthless here, since I don't hold any qualifications.

I've gotten into contact with SIM. They offer a part-time bachelor program in Computer Science. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to enter a 2 1/2 year pre-requisite program first, in order to get into the bachelor's program.

I guess I'm hoping someone here has had history with the Singapore school system, and might be able to let me know if I'm on the right path. I'm wondering if there are any schools here that might let me into a bachelor program based on my past college transcripts, or maybe some kind of fast-track bachelors program for working professionals?

Any advice at all would be most appreciated.

Check on schools here like MDIS, who have twinning programs with US Universities. They may be able to fast track you based on the US degree qualifications.

Center for American Education at Bestway Building can help you get your AA with some additional coursework then you can apply for on-line courses or other options open for you.

what type of course you want to finish? degree holder already?
I will highly recommend you to study for a UK qualification with the course you want to take up.

Yes, you should show your transcripts at private universities such as Stansfield or Informatics. While there is no guarantee, you will probably get a few exemptions.

While you probably won't get your degree faster (the schools make money that way after all!), the exemptions mean a lot of "blank space" on your schedule. At the very least, it ensures you might be able to work and study.

There is a difference between the way most universities and out private universities like to get you a degree.
