Are there any bars with live bands at Clarke Quay on a Friday or Saturday night? Would love to have some music while chatting up with some friends. Good bands please!

It's mostly cover bands in my experience...

Jive Talkin at the Pump room are a long time SG staple and fun night out. Pretty tight operation. Youtube it...

7 Inch with Acid Jazz (and their San Mig beer), Yello Jello with John Molina/Kruger (rock) ... and of course Jive Talkin at Pump Room

JR8: If I remember correctly, Jive Talkin was not at Pump Room before .. was it Barnone ? About a couple of years ago, they shifted to Pump Room .. Their former Lead Singer Nana is much of a crowd puller, and she is now seen at Muddy Murphys I think ...

Oh, did you say "chatting up ?? :D :D Like in chatting up strangers ?? :D

I would have thought se7en 1nch was more of a Rock/Metal establishment than Acid Jazz?? Best establishment I've managed to find for the music I like to listen to. The San Miguel and bar staff are good too.

My music expertise is limited to what the band member (the other relief band) told .. when I asked what kind of music was the caucasian fellow playing :D

Of course, the boss, when he started said "There are only Rock, Metal, Funk, Alternative, Grunge, Soul, Psychedelic and Acid Jazz"

BTW, Crazy elephant also is under the same guy .. (or was, in case it has changed hands .. )
