If you are willing to pay,
四川豆花饭庄 is a good choice. If you are staying at the west, there is one hawker inside NUS Prince Georges Park sells very nice and cheap Si Chuan dishes.

There are a few restaurants along Temple Street in ChinaTown Area which we found when we went for a stroll.
The diced chicken dried chilly was hot hot ( they use SehChuan pepper )
and the beed dried chilly was extreme. We just couldnt feel our tongue after those meals

You can get plenty of 麻辣火煱 at Bugis. There's one street full of restaurants selling pretty much just that.

There's a casual, al fresco place on Clementi West Street 2, near the Sheng Siong market.
