Seems we've got interest in one more gathering before the holiday season closes in. The date is 25 Nov. 7:30~8:00ish. Suggestions of an interesting change of venue from Richie303.

From Richie "It's called Phad Thai, on Mackenzie road, it's a friend of mines place, he's been here 7 years, knows SE. Beer, 3 singha for $18, wine around $40 per bottle. Food around $8 a dish max, check out hgw. MRT is opposite -little India. Free parking for any drivers!"

The restaurant website is here for those wanting to check it out anywhere other than HGW, I have been there a number of times and the food is excellent... and the service is better than your usual "Hawker" service that you would get in similarly priced restaurants...

GRRRRR!!!! I am on a business trip from Nov 16 to Nov 28. Will be in the US actually on the night in question.

After the new year, you get to set up the next one!

Drat, I love Thai but have a family crab dinner that night, so must give it a miss. Enjoy!

I have a confirmation that those attending with the meet on this night will have 10% knocked off their food bill by order of the management, the other promotions will apply as per their website.

Unfortunately, management are out of town this particular weekend, but his staff are very competent.

Happy hour seems to be up until 7pm, so unless we get an early bird there to pick up some buckets of beer for us all at $6 a bottle ($18 for 3) they go up to $7.... Hardly a deal breaker, but thought you should know?

I'll arrange to get a room/larger table booked depending on the turn out.

I'm in, barring any surprises my current project may or may not spring on me.

Is this place air con? If, yes I'll be there. But I may have a husband coming along since Thai food is his FAV and we haven't ventured to Little India for Thai yet.

Not aircon, but plenty of big ceiling fans, it's pretty airy, it's a very open front concept, so aircon is not really possible I think!

No can do still baby sitting, at what age can you leave a kid alone in the house?

Hahahaha, if I was getting commission I'd make sure they don't knock 10% off your food bill, infact, I'd ask him to pile on some extra so I get more

You've probably already got them to hike up alcohol rates.....
