I am new to Singapore and looking for climbing partners for gym climbing during the week and outdoors on the weekend. I have all the gear, you just need shoes and harness.
If you are new to the sport, I can teach you.

Check out Rock Climbing Singapore group on facebook, plenty of us climb regularly, from total begginer to pretty damn good. We use FB to post who's climbing where.

I have been climbing regularly the past few weeks as I have recently arrived in Singapore. I have my own harness and shoes. The person I have been climbing with is going home soon and I need a replacement. I have joined the FB group, but equally if you are keen to go for a climb let me know. I have mostly been going to Climb Asia, which is good but I would like to check out some of the other climbing gyms in Singapore.

Edmo, sorry i missed your first reply. I climbed last night and was not planning to go tonight. But I want to climb at Dairy Farm tomorrow and don't have a partner. Are you interested?
Paul, I extend the invite to you as well.

No worries. It is looking like rain, so Dairy Farm may be a wasted effort. How about we meet at Onsight at 5:00pm today. You can email me at

Hi,
I can teach you the basics, climbing safety, belaying, etc. alternatively,
the gyms all offer beginning climbing courses. Check the internet for: Onsight Climbing Gym, Climb Asia, and Climber's Lab.

hi
sounds good - stupid questions but any specific physical abilities I need to do this?! I am quite small so do you have to match a partner in size?

Initially, all that is required is a positive attitude (I don't climb with whiners).
In order to improve a bit you will need strength, flexibility, and balance. To improve even more, you need route finding and creative problem solving abilities, and a sense of adventure. Don't worry about the weight differential, I'll show you how we fix that. I'm climbing at Onsight tomorrow (Thursday) night. You are welcome to join me.
