Few Lines

If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

The 'sound' of her breath?
What's wrong, does she has something lodged in her wind-pipe?

Best opening line to a wedding speech I've heard. In front of an audience of starchy high-end catholics.
[Dead-pan]
I didn't know what to say, so I prepared a few lines
... ...
And now I've had those, I'm feeling great'.
(The younger people got it and laughed
The older people then realised it must be a joke and laughed politely
The young people then laughed again knowing the old people didn't get it but had laughed at it.

)

At my wedding, I went for the old chestnut...
"Unaccostomed to public speaking as I am, it's not the first time today I've stood up from a warm seat with a piece of paper in my hand"
But I must admit, a ballsy best man can use something like your's above!
