Personal items

I interviewed a woman for a position as a helper with us today and she asked if we would include personal items (soap, toothpaste, etc) as part of her contract. I've said yes, but wondering how others go about this? I can see three options - just add it in with the usual shopping, give a monthly allowance or go the more corporate route and reimburse her for expenses. I am leaning towards option one but was wondering what others did and if option B what sort of allowance they give?

This is obviously our first time :)

Our maid does the all the shopping and gets her own, I set a precedent and got her half decent stuff to start with and told her she has to continue to get nice stuff, I occasionally look in her bathroom and she's using cheap stuff, so I go buy her good stuff again!

Very difficult to get her to use quality stuff!

Good luck, it's a minefield, but do what you think you'd want to be done for you! For ladies products, I keep well clear of that ;)

That's right, aside from when I go to Crazy Horse with Bunter and we dress as ladies...

This seems to be normal for some of ladies that I work with at aidha. One says that she just puts what she needs in the shopping basket when they're out shopping together. The other option is to work out how much it will cost and just give her the extra money in cash.
