I'm just wondering if I should get a PDA. (I just read someone's post that his/hers fell into a bucket!! ouch!).. I mean, what are the compelling reasons for one to purchase a PD?. I was looking at the PC worldsite which does comparisons for price and performance, I dont understand most of the jargon. thanks.

I used to have a Palm V courtesy of the company, and it was very useful for playing games during boring meetings. The Japanese-English dictionary, kanji lookup and kanji practice programs I installed were also indispensable while in Japan... but once I returned I stopped using the thing.

Hmnn.. yes... ive seen friends use them, and i'm just wondering if its going to help me get organised ... heck, maybe if i just looked in my diary often enough, i WOULD get organised!

I have used my palm V for years. Admittedly mostly only for address book, diary and to read books downloaded for free from Memoware.com.

Its been great for that.

Oh and to keep loads of memos. Oh and the clocks and timers. Oh and the applications and odd games.

I think in general that the more you use it the more useful it is. The trick is to ensure that you have it whenever you might want it. The drawer is the death of any such tool.
