Maybank credit cards

I'm looking for a bank to diversify a bit my CC set. Maybank got some platinum cards in their offer that seem pretty attractive. Are their cards (namely VISAs) widely accepted and trouble free when it comes to online shopping/payments? Anything else unpleasant to be expected from Maybank?

I've just subscribed to the H*riz*n card as they offer 5x rewards for overseas spending. But to my dismay, a S$1000+ transaction in Germany (was charged in EUR) was not given 5x cause the merchant bank charged me in S$. I've feedback to the customer service over their hotline but she just dismissed as "if its not in foreign currency, then it's not subject to 5x rewards. You can try filling a dispute form but we don't guarantee that you get approve". It's not as easy as other credit cards where they tell you what you can get and give you as promised. This bank is tricky so that beware when you sign up with them.

VISA or Master is widely accept in Singapore shops / online shopping /payments.

So far, I don't have problem with Maybank. I only had issue with Standard Charted customer service.

Have it already for some time. No problems so far indeed not only in SG but also for buying stuff online.

Do you know that Maybank , Standard Chartered and Citibank are the appointed banks for IRAS ?
That is to say if one has of these cards and failed to pay their income tax, these banks can and will witheld your monies in your account with them for IRAS to settle with you
