We are longing to go to Italy and hear so much about north vs south....! Should we head north of Rome to Florence and Venice, or south to Naples and Sicily? Also, any experience with homestay in Italy?

Well don't all flood me with ideas at the same time! haha...

I loved Rome. I can't recommend it enough. Florence, though, is full of tourists, and most the people who live there live out of the city centre. On the other hand, the further south you go, the more unbearable the heat will be!

Actually to travel to Italy, i perfer to go Rome,Florence,Pisa, Turin, Lake Maggiore, Pavia, Venice. i been there last year for my hoilday, still keeping the itinerary with me. U can ask me for the itinerary if u are interested to go there.

I'm plannning a trip to Italy for 9 days in June. Will be going to Rome, Florence, Pisa, Cirque Terra, and Venice!

North definitely. Venice is not gonna be around for much longer. Experts predict that the city will sink due to rising water levels etc..So now is a good time to visit it! And if you're going with a loved one, all the more romantic.
