My husband runs weekly back in the ole country. I was wondering if there are folks here that do a weekly run or if it is too hot to run.

Running is one of the most popular workout among locals and expats here. And we have plenty of running tracks and parks around here. One's problems running here would be:

1. Limited suitable period for running - Unless your husband is a hardcore all-weather runner, the best time to run is from 5pm until 8am when it is not humid and the temperature is cooling enough. Unpredictable rain is another joy killer here.

2. Clueless pedestrians and cyclists - With the trend of blasting music plugged deep into one's ear canal, you will have problem maintaining your pace with hordes of zombies obstructing your path (and they seemed to be unaware that they should keep left all the time). However this only happens when you take a route that doubles or triples as pedestrian and cyclist's track especially during peak hours.

Yeah agree re the zombies on pcn paths, the runners that get in the way of me cycling and the muppets with their dogs etc, it's very inconsiderate, but if you stay relatively early (as Lynx said, before 8am) it's not as bad as later during the day!

The Walking Dead are also common in the afternoons and early evenings. I've resorted to putting lights on my bicycle so I can enjoy maintaining momentum without some oblivious herd blocking the whole width of the park connector.

In some places, however, the PCN is just an extended sidewalk so you got walkers on them.

It's bad enough with the walking dead in malls but in parks too... :(

I personally like to run after midnight, almost no foot traffic, low humidity, cooler temperature and quieter..helps me think :)
