Singapore Expats

Does anyone know where i can buy bigger size bras? Im a 32F and it's been very frustrating trying to buy bras in Singapore. I can't find my size in M&S nor the lingerie sections in Takashimaya or Tangs. Bascially i've looked everywhere!!!! HELP!!!!

Welcome to Singapore, a land of where almost 90% of the female population are between A to D cup size.

Your size is indeed out of the median range for lingerie business here. If you have brand preference, I suggest you try buying online (since you would've been familiar to the size range and feel of such brand already).

Unfortunately aside from Victoria's Secret and La Senza, I do not know which other brands that also cater to online business for that size. Amazon?

I know a lady in a similar situation to you, she uses this crowd from the UK... http://www.bravissimo.com/ they deliver out here too and their range is quite nice!

Also, in Simei, the Triumph shop told her they can order in the stock for her.

Yep, sadly it's online or nothing, which of course is not ideal for something that's so fitted and personal, you'd want to try on. I bought bras while I was home for a visit. Fortunately since partially weaning my son I'm back in the range of what they offer here. I did look at http://www.figleaves.com while I was considering this dilemma and they seemed to have a good selection.

I've tried online shopping and have wasted fair bit of money on return shipping! it's really hard when you can't try it on in the store. I'm a 32F generally but sometimes it's different size for different labels and also the fit might not be comfortable

I guess i'll have to stick to my twice a year lingerie shopping in UK!

Hmm... guess have no choice but to buy online. Only bra is something one would prefer to try for a good fit so online bra shopping is a bit.....

Then again, even asking sales staff for available cup sizes is no good, because while I can fit D or E cups for brands like La Senza, I need F cups for Asian brands. In fact I'd only found ONE Taiwanese company who even bothered with an F, most Asian brands stop at a mere C... O_o don't even bother wasting your time with brands like Triumph.

im lucky i can still find d cup but its pretty limited to sorella and triumph. i can sympathize, these things need to be fitted so its hard to buy it online

La Senza is the *only* shop (including Brit department stores) that I've been able to find my size (currently 32DD) in more than one or two styles. I've mostly been slumming in sports bras and ill-fitting but underwire free nursing bras. Counting down the days til I go back home and overhaul my wardrobe

@nutnut: If you ask a shop to order for you, what happens if it doesn't fit you well after you try it when it arrives? Are you obligated to buy it?

All bra shops I've come across here don't even bother with cup sizes, they just measure it by back size! Guess the majority of Asians must have the same size chest so they don't need to bother.

I've been buying mine from ASOS (www.asos.com) because they have free worldwide delivery, and they've had quite a lot of sales on recently also. As they stock ranges I bought back in the UK (Ultimo, Wonderbra, Freya, Fantasie etc) I had an idea of what size was likely to fit me best. I think you can return it for free if it's unsuitable, but not sure how much hassle that is to do from Singapore. Bought some swimwear from them also while I was at it!

I usually bought my bras from Debenhams back home (www.debenhams.co.uk) and they also ship to Singapore, but it's about £15.99 delivery which is why I chose ASOS.
