Best pick of Credit Card in Singapore

So, I have moved down to SG, opened a local account (with a 1000$ minimum deposit. What the h**** is up with that!?!?).

I now need a credit card. My bank gave me a list of their credit cards, and they offer 15++ different types to choose from. :???:
And there are 5-6 banks with just as many cards, I guess...

So, since I am a bit lazy, which, in your opinion is the best credit card you can get for local use in SG?
When I say best, I mean lowest annual cost, and best discount offers for this specific card, as there are a lot of different discounts depending on your card out there.

And while I am at it, is there anything else I should know about credit cards in SG?

All of the annual fees can be waved, but you need to call once a year to ave them waved. Some of the more "progressive" cards automatically waive the fee for you. Yeah, silly I know. Certain "Additional" annual fees CANNOT be waived. For example, the POSB Everyday Card can *also* get you miles, but there is a non-waive-able fee for that. The rate sucks anyway.

The discounts all vary based on where you shop. I tend to find Citibank cards to have the best discounts where I shop the most often, that being Giant, Cold Storage, and Starbucks (10%!!). This is with their SMRT Platinum card, which is also NFC (Visa PayWave, no need to sign) and works as an EzLink and ERP card.

They also have arguably the best Visa/Mastercard miles card (Citi Premier miles - There are slightly better milage cards, but they're Amex and Discover which are less accepted than Visa/MC). It's nice because the dollar to point to miles ratio is very generous, and you have your choice of airlines to convert to. I think SQ, CX, and maybe Thai or someone else?

If you own a car though, the DBS Tiger Esso card is supposed to be the best discount on petrol.
