I hope the crowd that replies this thread shares the same passion as me. NOTE: skip to the bold and the underline to hear my key request if this is too long for you!

I am Singapore-Chinese, born and bred here. Been out of the country for a few years for exchange and uni studies in France and Australia.

I am looking for like-minded people to have a language exchange and hopefully finding friends in the process. I am fluent in English, Chinese and am in the midst of acquiring Japanese and French.

If you speak Japanese or French, I am happy to practice English or Chinese with you, or even share with you the insights of Singapore (I promise I wouldn't complain too much).

Do reply to this thread if you are interested. if not, I shall stick to my books and online translation services to learn the languages! :p

Hi. I am a housewife from Japan. I love learning languages.

However, as I am a homemaker and family is my priority, I am only looking for females who can meet me during daytime on weekdays. (Prefer in the morning, west side of Singapore.)

I am good in reading Chinese materials but not so good at speaking, simply because I have no one to practice Chinese conversations.

Besides Chinese, I am studying Malay, Korean, German, Italian etc by myself. Not really interested in learning English, even though my English isn't good.

Not quite sure I am the one you are looking for... If interested, please reply. Otherwise I will stick to my books just like you, too

Hi YXue,

I've recently got to Singapore but used to live in China so would love to practise my Mandarin Chinese with you. I speak French so could swap some French for Chinese if that works? ;-) I'm originally from Scotland but studied in France...

Email me back if you want to meet up on a weekend or evening for dinner / coffee and a chat!

hi Shufu,

I would love to practise Japanese and meet you, however I can understand your family is priority. Unfortunately, I am working and am unable to meet during weekdays.

would you like to talk via email?

Hi YXue,

I'm Japanese from Tokyo.

It is due to come to Singapore by the purpose of company training two weeks ago, and to stay for two years.

I'm an engineer. I am working a weekday, and on Saturday and Sunday is nonwork day.

I can't speak English now. Are we gonna have a problem?

Hi all,
do you think it will be a good idea if we form a group? Then we can learn from each other, translate for each other.
