Singapore Expats

I would like to share with you guys since I just got my application approved by ICA recently. My application was approved after 4-5 weeks time.
Here is my details:
- worked for 6 months (private company)
- salary around 35K per annum (Q1 pass holder)
- stayed in Singapore around 5 years
- higher qualification is a degree from local university

And your ethnicity is?

I sniffed the Singapore Version of Aryan Race on the ethnicity

Somebody's gonna get a hurt real bad...

I just thought I'd get that out of the way before half a dozen of our friends here with masters ask for it so they can cookie-cutter their applications......

When you think about it, considering how many posts we've had regarding Singapore Tertiary Institution graduates who have been working here for 6-12 months and have bonds and have been rejected for PR. We are all kind of working blind anymore. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason for the decisions (or should I say less than before). They've always kept all in the dark but now it's almost like they are deliberate sending our decoys to keep all guessing..... :-/

I do not think that you should be comparing applications like this.

OP was a graduate from a local university and is now working here - putting his total stay in Singapore at around 5 years (as mentioned by him). This would be different compared to your own stay since 2010.

Other points of difference are salary (as you have mentioned) and the fact that he is single and indonesian chinese. The latter being the magic words observable from latest trends.

And of course, there is always the caveat that each case is handled on its own standing and there can never be any 'confirm-approved' applications.

Yes I was a fresh grad (4 years uni + almost 1 year work)
And you can say that I am lucky (since luck is needed in everything )
1 of my friend whose salary 50-60K is still waiting though we applied almost at the same time

I agree with your magic words (also through an observation from a few friends)
But I agree more to the last statement. Singapore is always unpredictable in all fields (understand it very well after went through a lot of things here)
