The bigger issue for heat will be your west-southwest exposure with windows. (Do you have any?)

Most condo roofs should have proper thermal paint to reflect help energy. (basically any color except black)

If the roof leaks, shouldn't that be covered by the building? There should be something in the terms.

It's probably a long shot someone on the forum has ever lived in a top floor unit at this particular complex and will actually see the post.

I used to live on a top floor and it was mostly hotter outside than it was inside (i dont like to use aircon 24/7). I dont think its worth the better views.

Just my $ 0.02

It may be worth not having neighbours above your head. And yes, it is much hotter at least in the place we live in right now.

Do you really think the heat is different in that particular place than in any other penthouses?

Going closer to the topic - heat is something I was expecting, the winds (especially during storms) is what came as a surprise. We have lost couple of things and have seen interesting swirls...

We lived on a top floor unit, it is hotter (nothing that an aircon cant deal with) thats a small price to pay for not having someone stomping around above you, nice views and cool breeze.
