Singapore Expats

Hi all,

We are moving from Beijing to Singapore this summer and are now looking for a relocation company.

We used Santa Fe when moving to Beijing 2.5 years ago and we were very happy with them. I wonder if anyone has experience with the Santa Fe in Singapore and how are they?

We are also open to other international relocation companies. (We might not consider Crown because we had very bad experience with them.)

Santa Fe handled my work permit at two different employers in Singapore. I find them slow to respond and a pain to deal with.

For my second position in Singapore, I already had a PEP. When they sent me a stack of paperwork to fill out to apply for an EP, I told them "I have a PEP". Any forum regulars or anyone doing the business they do should know immediately what that means, no further explanation required. It took three more days of back and forth emails with them, company HR, and me sending links to MOM's site for them to figure it out.

I used SF here and would never, ever use them again.

Thanks for the feedback on Santa Fe relo. Which other international relo companies would you recommend us?

As you have mentioned that you want a company which provides a service regarding home relocation. according to my opinion you can ask to someone who is already use these type of services from your relatives or friends, except it you can also search these website on internet. By this you can also get the all information on their website. They generally provide their services in all over the world.

No. We tried that a few years ago. It eventually got out of hand as someone blocked the first 8 bits thereby taking out part of another country which was also sharing the first 8 bits. Therefore, we no longer ban ISPs even though it would be desirable. Been there and done that.
