Hi

Why not calling up those private surgeons to get out for u? (Example: Dr Colin etc.)

Alternatively, you can go polyclinic get referral to govt hospitial to do removal.

Moreover, you can try calling the hospital u want (plastic surgery dept) to check out the booking of appt with the surgeons.

Hope all the best for u.

I'd be afraid of any doctor named Puttysack. You sure it's silicone?

My bro extrusion after 1 yr so not much contracture. Implant removal before 6 mth can cause alot of contracture due to scar tissue forming. His nasal was now imbalance becoz septal deviated, it's cause by Silicone extrusion when it's push though his side columella.

Hi pal, thanks for your reply.

any idea what causes the extrusion ? any trauma, i.e his nose was knocked against some hard object. or its due to thining of skin ? 1 year is considerably long. the skin should have been stretched, hence may result in saggy skin when removed, he doesnt have this problem? was his implant thick ? how is he recovering ?

mine is forming a capsule on the nose tip not really at the columella.

haiz. this is the consequences of silicone.

sorry that i need to ask so many questions as im really concern about what will happen to me next. anyway i had my implant done in hatyai with dr puttisak, its like a S shape silicone, and it was all fine for nearly 3 years.

god bless me =]

Hi confabulate

My bro extrusion is because His using a L implant. L implant prone to extrusion. It will push its way out from nose. If u having I silicone n ear cartilage to cusion, the extrusion is low. However any foreign implant will never last long in human body, years later will still extrude.
As u mention it's showing sign of extrusion through ur nose tip, u better remove it before its too late. Once it's extruded through the nose tip that means it will leave u a scar, skin thinning is irreversible.

He removal was after 1 yr mark so not much contracture, just septal crook because the implant pushed against his septal during extrusion. Now he is having upturned nose tip & asymmetrical nostril hole. No sagging skin because skin will contract back to usual nose shape after implant removed.

Hi worries,

thanks for your reply. anyway i had my implant replaced + ear cartilage. the damage was not that bad, i cant say my nose was as before but at least i managed to save 70% of it.

i reckon implant without ear cartilage are very prone to extrusion. i sorta regret not doing it in taiwan in the first place.

this episode was really an nightmare to me. but im lucky that i met the right doctor who is willing to operate me almost immediately at a heavily subsidized rate. its a subsidized rhinoplasty revision.

thanks again.

Contact Dr Poh (KK Hospital). Dr Por is good in reconstruction of nose like removing and correcting wrongly done rhinoplasty.

Dr Poh is well known for reconstructing female cleft lips in KK. Which makes him one above other plastic surgeon I think.

He even gave me a discount because I'm retired. I find his pricing comparatively reasonable.

I am having my nose redone next month after consulting Dr Poh who is really a very patient and pleasant surgeon.

I am removing the former silicone insertion in my nose tip, and have the bridge readjusted or changed and bone grafting for my columella strut.

I also have a bridge end extrusion inside my nose - which led me to see Dr Por (he was highly recommended to me by a ENT specialist ).

I hope to post pics here of the before/after result of the surgery :)

This is his 'new' website:

Dont worry too much, I am sure Dr Por can help you, if you have another problem with your correction.

He did a very thorough checkup on my nose using all sorts of instruments . He took pictures of my nose and then showed me an
imagery of my nose, and what I can expect to see after the surgery is done.

His consultation fees is S$92.

The only thing is - you my have to wait several weeks (3 mths for me) for
the rhinosplasty surgery, because Dr Por is usually fully booked by KK Hospital patients.
