22F new to sg, would love to meet new faces! :)

Hi
I just arrived 10 days ago, but i'm posting on this forum 10 days too late! haha
so far singapore has been exciting but scary, I'm having a hard time understanding the accent, is this a common problem for newbies?
anyways I would love to meet up for drinks or tennis/other outdoorzie things

What accent? Seriously I hardly notice it.

Hey goldfish, wanna join us at the hollywood after party sentosa this coming saturday night? check out Akimbo's thread on the weekenders in 20's club. I'm sure there will be people who speaks international english rather than singlish which makes it difficult for expats to understand.

Some people too. I guess it depends on how thry come from, naturally. Its confusing that some ppl, i.e. taxi drivers got some weird accents and then there are others who speak almost like an american :p also am completely new and have to get used to it

Hey and welcome to Singapore, took me about 3-4 days of listening and asking to pick up the nuances of the accent, not that hard to distinguish, especially if you know how certain syllables are pronounced.
Either way, I've been here 1 year, still looking to make new friends. I live in the west, send me a PM if you'd like to hang out.
