Singapore Expats

Hi All,

This is Naveen. I'm from India and now working in Malaysia. I'm into Java Development, from past 5.6 yrs.

Now I would like to get into Pre-sales in Singapore(my dream career). I tried applying all related Jobs in the Singapore Job portals. But I'm not getting calls. Could some one suggest me the best approach to get into.

Also I've a dependent mother. I heard regular EP wont allow, parents as dependent.

So is it possible to move into Singapore along with my mother and get into Pre-sales career. Please guide me. Any little information would help me alot. Please let me know.

Look under Passes for Family Members for your mother's case. Only certain EP allows mothers to be brought in under LTSVP.

Did you really mean Sales - i.e. low salary with quota / targets to meet to get commissions ?

Well, it's not a good time since gahmen draws the "line". The applications from foreigners without rare skills are, most likely, rejected.

You're not experienced enough yet. Wait until you have 6.2389 years experience, that's the magic number

If I go my the 'latest trends' I am sure he did mean 5.6 years

A lot of resumes now specifically state 7.3 years of experience, or 4.9 years of experience .. I was told it means 7 years, and 3 months for former, and 4 years and 9 months for the latter..

You have to admit, though, saying one year and one month as a decimal is just as bad. 1.0833 years
