Getting a bit stressed!

Hi all,

Looking for a preschool for our two boys is proving to be hard work
We've been in Singapore this week looking at houses and have put an offer in on a place, Caribbean at Keppel Bay.

With the place to stay almost sorted we just can't seem to find a preschool for our 18 month old and our 3 year old.

We looked at the blue house but we won't have a car and my partner will not put our boys on a school bus at such a young age so that's out.

Can anyone tell us of somewhere near home that my partner can get to easily. We are English so would like a good mix of nationalities not just locals, fees are not an issue (work will pay them).

Just arrived back in the UK tonight but I will be back in about ten days, looking for the kids to start somewhere in January.
Please help!

Best Regards,
Dave

IF you're really stuck - hire a maid for the interim period until you can get them in somewhere.

Tanglin Trust School (GCSE system with IB option) on Portsdown Road has a nursery school which accepts children from age 3, and the school is worth considering especially if your boys might return to the UK for schooling when they are older.

For an early years and more daycare-like environment, we have friends whose children are happy at The Children's Place on Kay Siang Road, which accepts children from 18 months of age so both your boys can be at the same place there.

Both of the above places are much shorter taxi rides away from Keppel Bay than Blue House, but note they're not *very* close.

There's also White Lodge on South Buona Vista Road which is closer to you. We know of people whose kids go to other White Lodge locations and are happy with them. Some people like Etonhouse and they have a branch near Outram Park.

When your younger one turns 2, there's another option which is Little Bunnies in HortPark which is really close to Keppel Bay. They take 2-3's only. Our son goes there. Many of the kids there go on to Tanglin Trust when they turn 3.

Good luck.
