Hi,

Would like to check - if I have still a bank account but no longer reside in Australia because of overseas work here and the oz visa has expired, do i still need to file a tax return because of my bank account there ?

The question should really be; "Am I resident in Australia for tax purposes". Bank account has nothing to do with it. Not unless it's receiving large amounts of dosh from somewhere.
