I am new to Singapore from the U.S. looking for climbing partners for indoor gym and/or outside sport climbing at Bukit Timah.

I am an intermediate level climber, but welcome any level for fun.

Weekdays are ideal.

Gyms and sport climbing

There are a few good gyms in Singapore

Climbing Gym:
Climb Asia near Farrer Park MRT - Good for lead climbing, high-wall. Boulder gyms are good but lack lots of clearly defined routes
Onsight - lots of good bouldering routes, decent high-wall
Kinetics at Macpherson MRT - Interesting advanced boulder routes, no high-wall at all.

Natural Rock
There's only one natural rock sport climbing area - it's called Dairy Farm in Upper Bukit Timah. One of my friends lives nearby. It's granite and tends to be a little wet sometimes but otherwise is alright. small though.

I sometimes climb at Climb Asia or Onsight on thursday evenings.
Am only a novice though.

You can use the search feature and look for our forum regulars and contact them. They organise climbs together on regular basis: KD Bryant, Waelan and mattks.

Here is one of the threads for you to check it out: http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/sutra603595.html

Marcan,
Haven't been checking these regularly. Anyway I saw your response to mtn. Biking, but weekends are tough due to family commitments. I am up for rock climbing if you can go mid week after work?

Greetings, I'm a lightweight looking for someone to climb with regularly specifically on weekday afternoon-evenings. I usually frequent Climbers' Lab in Jurong and Climb Asia in Little India.

Do drop me a note ( yanne at operamail.com ) if you fit the bill, thank you!

Yannee - I'll send you an email. I'm a newbie climber but interested in doing more. Not sure what experience level you're looking for, no harm if you were looking for someone more advanced!

Martin - I don't have enough posts to PM yet, but PM me if you're still looking for climbing buddies as well!

Hi everyone. We climb regularly, twice a week. We can only do top rope as of the moment. If you are interested, you may send me a PM or just email me: jdauro at yahoo.com. Thanks!
