Greetings members !

I have been working here in Singapore as an IT Professional for a leading Investment bank through a very reputed vendor and now I am on the lookout for a change.

Anyone got a suggestion for a consultant i could approach?
From what i gather most jobs are through consultants.

The recent regulations can kick you out from Singapore in an instant. My suggestion? Stay put. Or gamble a bit with, say, Accenture.

They hired a lot of people in our office.

May I know what is the bank?

Btw, better submit your CV to some reputable recruiting agencies in SG - like Aston Carter, Hays etc - not a huge lot of them here (although there are hundreds of junk ones registered in MOM). If your resume catches their eye, they will find the job for you, no need to do it yourself - it worked for me a few years back... and maybe I will need them a few months later.

But I have less to worry about - I'm still PEP until 2015.

Go to smaller company that is in the same business (not startup, normal European or US company with office here).
I myself considering that. In bank you can be sacked any moment, even if they take you initially - shitty times right now.

Does UBS have Changi presence of their own, or just their outsourced location? I was under the impression those at said location were not UBS employees, but all from a vendor.

From what I know, several staffs are located at Changi Business Park (not sure if they are under UBS or vendor). At Suntec, most of them are under vendor.

AFAIK, the banks in CBP are CS, Barclays Cap, Citi, SCB and DBS. I havent heard of UBS employees being present in CBP until now.

Well, for the building maintenance, they always send a notification to ORQ or Suntec.

I've never seen anything from UBS here, at CBP...

Well, for the building maintenance, they always send a notification to ORQ or Suntec.

Both ORQ and suntec nice office locations, CS has a branch in ORQ and ORL with lovely views.

However I prefer CBP anyday reason being I stay at Tampines and my office is 10 mins motorcycle ride with no $$$ sucking ERP in between and no need to get stuffed in sardine can.

The entire "location" is outsourced to a VERY FAMOUS Indian off-shore vendor. You enter the building and go to the vendor's floor, go through a door, then you're in another lobby with UBS branding, etc. It's like an office floor within an office floor.

I don't know CBP very well, but it's in the same set of buildings as DBS.

CS moved out from ORQ to CBP almost completely. Serangoon park moves to CBP as well. Cost saving - will be 1 building with abt 10% less places than people in CS - for "smart working".
