Do we need to get some Malaysian cash to buy food etc. at Legoland???

And they have the more-or-less rightly converted values for SGD. No 1 MYR = 1 SGD nonsense there.

It will be better to take MYR. The exchange rate in Legoland is not that good

Not as bad as in the JB malls.

If you are able to acquire MYR without hassle, then yes, it is better to use MYR.

Otherwise, you can still your SGD as it is accepted there with exchange rate. To be honest, you won't be spending hundreds on food either so the exchange rate discrepancies will be negligible.

But.

If you are planning to buy Lego bricks and other souvenirs in bulk, you better have your MYR with you.

errrr why do you need to convert, when you can pay in SGD itself with the rates very close to money changer rates .. ???

I prefer to hold the MYR. Besides, it's not like I won't enter Malaysia again. And I don't think places like Taiping or Ipoh want to accept SGD

Cool !!!!!!!!! Am yet to get stuck in a place where I needed a lot of MYR .. and as the saying goes, if i had to change a lot of money in the middle of a palm plantation, I am in deep shit .. !!!!!!!

I can confirm this. It's a ton of fun, too!

FYI I have had my pocket picked or a wad of cash somehow lifted off me there. I would not go there with cash again (it was only MYR50 but still pisses me off).

And the place where Mas Selmat was living cozily while on the lam from Singapore. The place where the police take bribes, the immigration people will accuse you of illegal entry after not stamping your passport, where a Chinese woman is fined for cutting a man's hair, Christian churches are burned, corruption is rampant, and so on. It isn't just Singaporeans who see it as a lawless and violent place. Certainly it is all of that and worse compared to Singapore.

But I'll grant you on the "dragons' part. Maybe some pet komodos but no real fire-breathing ones.

Pretty common around there. Usually will leave you alone but watch out if you're menstruating or you have open bloody wound.
