Hi,

Anybody know where I am able to find pure coconut water here in Singapore? From brands such as VitaCoco, O.N.E, Zico etc?

^^ That's how I have always done it.

Get a coconut (bought or from a tree), make a hole (drill), and Bob's your uncle.

there is a bottled brand you can find at most 7-elevens nowadays called 'cocomax'. tastes amazing. 100% coconut water, no additives. Yeo's is a local brand that's cheaper, but has additives..

Yes, I recommend CocoMax, it's 100% pure coconut water and is very reasonably priced. They sell it at 7-11, but can be had much cheaper at either Fair Price supermarket or Cold Storage.

You can find a good quality coconut water at Mustafa center.
I can suggest my way to use all benefits of coconuts - just buy a high quality virgin coconut oil and take a spoon of it twice a day. And your skin become younger and smoother :))

I'm with JR8 on this one. Fresh coconuts are available all over Sg. Why on earth would anyone consider the bottled processed alternatives. In my book fresh is always better.

for sports - coconut water replaces a lot of the essential vitamins and minerals you lose when you sweat, in a healthier way than gatorade or htwo0. bottled is more convenient for this purpose, but yeah fresh would be the way to go if theres a kopitiam close by with a good stall..

How do you lose vitamins and minerals via the process of sweating, and which ones?

I'm never heard such a claim before, and it doesn't sound likely to me.

Or do you just mean sodium; which would be replaced and more by the over-salted food here.

You lose a lot of electrolytes (trace elements) that the body needs, hence the need to replace with either iso drinks, or a good quality sea salt dissolved in glass of water. (Sea has all the trace elements the body needs). Table salt has absolutely none - just sodium chloride which the body cannot process anyway.

Not that I'm aware of, but lots of minerals (trace elements).
