I want to sell some of my personal unwanted household items like my PC, Printers, DVD player, etc that I no longer use which I believe are still valuable to those who need them.

In the US, there is eBay but I found eBay is not that popular here. So I am just wondering how you guys sell your unwanted items to the public?

There is basically no market for second hand items in Singapore.
Most people donate them to the Salvation Army or a Karung Guni man (who belong to the lowest social and financial ranks in Singapore, but might even offer you a symbolic price for the stuff).
A visit to the "Thieves Market" (every Saturday on Jalan Besar on the empty plots behind Sim Lim Tower - not Square!) will open your eyes for what the poor in Singapore (who usually remain well hidden) have to live off.

If they are still useful you could do yard sale or book a slot for flea market in Riverside or Dempsey. May be tricky with electronic devices, though.

If it is stuff people generally want (second hand tablets, cameras, laptops, mobile phones of popular models), you'll have dozens of offers in a few hours.

If you are in a generous mood and just want to see it go to someone who wants it you can always use SgFreecycle

Sorry, I disagree. There is a very active Ebay, Craigslist & Gumtree community here in SG. I've bought & sold oodles of stuff on there.

Ebay auction discipline is not really complied to & you will receive contact acting to sell offline but if you are happy go with the flow. Don't get too hung up on trying to get the Buyers to comply with Ebay policy - it'll just melt your brain (like it did mine - because I allowed it to).

No problem.

gumtree is actually a great place, and its free to put your stuff for sale. of course, you have to exercise caution.

sold and bought preloved items..both electronic and non electronic goods on olx and locanto

Online - Gumtree so far gets the best responses.

Apart from that, you can consider visting the second-hand shops along Upper Dickson Rd, Lil India - they buy mainly second-hand electronics and furnitures. For clothes, if you are clearing off at dirt cheap prices, post them up on Gumtree and there is definitely a dude who will approach you as he owns 3 shops selling second-hand clothes in Little India and Geylang.

If none works, considering donating - feels good and make good.

Definitely gumtree. Posted and sold within a day. I still get enquiries after 7-8 months since my ad went up. A bit annoying but just goes to show how popular gumtree is locally

Singapore Expat classifieds doesn't garner much traffic and pretty pitiful in terms of responses and traffic. Gumtree is your best bet.

Yep, Beppi, you are sooo wrong. I buy and sell all the time. Sometimes it takes a while to sell stuff, but then ebay is free here until you sell and most people do not buy off ebay but contact you directly through ebay - so no fees. But the most active are gumtree, ebay and craigslist (in that order). It takes a while because it is a small market. But things sell and usually at a good price.
Another good way I have found is to have a 'mini garage sale'. Take a pic of everything for sale and then post an ad saying 'garage sale 9 - 11am Sat (ONLY PLEASE DO NOT COME ANYTIME)' you will do well at garage sale but will also get offers before. A lot of people come over from Malaysia on weekends (free entry for their cars into Singapore) and do the garage sales. Also look for other advertisers having garage sales and ask if you can piggy back onto their sale (ie put your things into their sale).
