I would need some advise on painting your own rooms. I have rooms full of furniture, but I don't intent to engage a painter as it's way too expensive.. What's the best way to paint with so much bulky furniture in such small spaces?

bring everything out of your room... paint... bring everything back in...
voila... no shortcut....

Simple!!!

Draw a line that you can find and paint above the line...then put a DIY border to complete the look. If you have so much furniture, there is nothing to paint below anyway since they will be blocked.

If a line is not possible, then follow the contours of the furniture. Then you can either paint bright yellow to get the contrast and use a slim border to finish the look or alternatively paint it sky blue, then draw flying birds, nice sun or rainbow on the blue base. This will take all attention away from your unpainted walls covered by the furniture.

You might like to try out this method, very quick

Actually the simplest method is to move all furniture to the centre of the room, then cover the whole furniture, with plastic sheet. A couple of $ will do it. You must cover it all if using a roller, to put the paint on, because of the very fine spray, the roller makes. Also use water based emulsions, not oil paint.

Start by painting ceiling first before walls, then work around the room.

Preparation is priority like washing the walls and ceilings, to get all the grime off, otherwise it will discolour the paint. You can go to the website called How to, to find out what you need to do.

. . . start at the entrance/exit and work your way back.
