SG PR Children traveling out of singapore

We are Indian citizens (with PR status in SG) and are traveling to India for vacation shortly. As the children (also PRs) do not have identity cards, is it sufficient to carry copies of their entry and re-entry permits along with passports ? I believe this being the case, but thought of checking if anyone has a different experience with regards to such a situation.
