Hello! Just wondering if any parents could throw some ideas of low cost activities to do with little ones. I can’t work in Singapore & at the moment I don’t really see the point of spending the money on daycare so I want to plan daily activities with my almost 2 year old daughter to keep us busy during the week days. So far I've found the national library, friends of the zoo at sg zoo – any thoughts on what else we can do or some memberships to places that are worthwhile? TIA - Annie :)

Look at the meet up site. They have loads of playgroups and get together stuff for that age.

Imm has a very nice playground and little water park on the floor next to the food court.

Science Centre in Jurong, it's fully interactive, she will love it! - also look at the website http://www.singaporeforkids.com/

Have fun!

I guess since you have Friends of Zoo membership, you should also check out Jurong Bird Park and Night Safari and River Safari. Not sure if you think of Night Safari and River Safari as the same thing as the Singapore Zoo.

There's mini putt at Big Splash called LilliPutt. Very fun for kids (and adults too)!

you can also check this site out http://www.cheekiemonkie.net/. The site has a lot of pictures. It gives you a good idea of the places to see and things to do.

We went around a lot of parks (bishan park, hort park, jacob ballas garden etc) and indoors when raining (royce@liang court good for the younger ones, Amazonia @greatworld city with the big slide). The terminal 1 at changi airport also has a playarea that is free to use but gets a bit crowded.

Some of the malls also have small playareas paragon@orchard, nex@serangoon (water play).

We also had the zoo membership, the water playarea at the zoo is fun especially on a hot day.
