Depends on how much money you have. If you don't have a lot, just open a trading account with Interactive Broker, CMC or Oanda. If you have a lot of cash to risk, you can try to be a locals at a brokerage firm. Cheaper commission and faster latency in the trading system.

I presume the OP means sole proprietorship, which is called "sole trader" in Australia. There have been some threads on this in the recent past, and it is possible. Recommend doing a search of the forum.

That's what I thought, yes, there are a load of topics on this end to end help. It's convoluted, so I'm not going to type it all up here. Try searching - in fact I think it may be a sticky :)
