Anyone know if there'll be any cuts/edits to Kickass 2?

I'd rather not watch if there were any.

Will be watching it next week, but apparently according to Rottentomatoes' critics (as of now, there's only 25 reviews so it can still go up), it isn't as kickass as the first one...

If its violence i wouldnt expect any edits ......

It also depends on the rating the distributors want.

The last Die Hard was bad enough but the censoring that was done here made it even worse.

Almost everything associated with widely understood sexual content will go away. Same for scenes intense with vulgar language and gestures. Generally if you are very unhappy with movies slaughtered this way you should only buy locally Sesame Street and alike.

Some probably yes, but not that much as of any sex related.

Anyone know what the R21 channel is on Singtel?

Looks like it might be uncensored films but maybe I am being too optimistic! Been meaning to call them and get a PIN to see what its all about.

Unless it's the cinema you are really better off sourcing your movies from abroad where censorship is a little more relaxed. I do that via AppleTV and an offshore account.

I prefer Apple. No bloody subtitles either.

I watched Before Midnight, and the softcore scene at the end was not cut whatsoever...but I think it had the M rating.

One of the characters is called Motherf***er. I guess there will be bleeps as a minimum, they don't like that word here.

Not too long ago, a Disney cartoon movie was on TV and it was obvious that the cleavage on one of the female characters was blurred. By looking at the picture, it didn't appear she had that much cleavage in the first place (but apparently there was enough to make the Sg government uncomfortable).

It just makes me sick. I was zapping through some channels the other night and ended up on a documentary about the factory that collapsed in Bangladesh. There were close up shots of several people mashed to pulp in the rubble and nothing censored. Then flicked on through the channels and ended up on a documentary about a pygmy tribe somewhere. They only wore very little clothes and the women nothing to cover their boops and it was blurred out.... Onwards with the channels and on one of the BBC channels I found Embarrasing Bodies, a program I like to watch. First a man with a problem in his groin and it was blurred out so you couldn't see what was really up. Then after that a woman who needed to have her huge breasts made smaller... again all blurred out.... what IS the point of censoring these things??? For the Embarrasing Bodies program, it would be better not to show it, as they are erm... not showing it....

I wouldnt be shocked if some of those online galleries are blocked in Sg.

But yes, it's strange how blood and guts are ok, but the slightest bit of skin sends them into a frenzy. What is even weirder is that prostitution is legal here but a cartoon character on TV with a tad bit of cleavage? Oh no!

Isn't the censorship of sexual content a religious harmony thing? I don't think it's outright prudishness. It's the same considerations that mean that section 377A of the Penal Code stays on the statute.
