Hi there

There's not a lot of posts about car leasing on this forum. As this question is rarely asked I have to ask it

Appreciate if anyone has any recommended companies for car leasing. We are looking at leasing for a couple of years. Also what sort of price would we be looking at for a big saloon or a 7 seater. We have friends who pay $1000-$1200 from some time ago but it seems those prices are not existent these days.

Hi Chris,

Price of lease depends on period, make/model and age of vehicle.

You might need to budget for something like $2000 per month and upwards. And that's a conservative figure.

MPVs are more sensible choices than large sedans (2-liter or bigger).

Deal only with leasing companies. You might get a car on the cheap direct from private owners but there's no legal recourse following an accident or theft. And it's illegal in the eyes of the Land Transport Authority although enforcement is a relatively grey area.
