I just moved here (Singapore) from the US and was wondering if there is an LGBT meet up group for expats somewhere.
Just looking to make friends and explore the LGBT Singapore scene.

As I understand it, the scene is not that big, due to the draconian mindset on homosexuality here as well as some laws.

Good luck though.

There are events for gay men; haven't heard one for gay women though.

That is a very helpful link. I'm finding out there isn't much going on in the Lesbian world here. Thank you though. :)

Hey, I'm in a similar situation. Just moved here from New York with my partner. Doesn't seem to be much of a community here as far as I can tell. Maybe we can start one! PM me if you want to grab a drink or something.

Several years ago, there was this ladies' bar in Chinatown (where I used to stay). The name was Cows and Coolies. I only went in because my gay friend was curious about the bar and felt he needed female company to go inside. I'm not sure if it's still there but the last time I passed by (about 2 years or plus ago), there were a lot of guys hanging out with the ladies. So I'm not sure whether they've taken off the rainbow flag.

Hope the info helps.

Actually, there's lots of stuff(!) going on, you just need some local friends to break you in.

Google "two queens singapore", "white party singapore", "fridae asia", "oogachaga Singapore". There are some Facebook groups as well. If you are Christian we have a church welcoming of LGBT individuals (in Geylang, of all places :) ). Buddhists generally could care less what your sexual orientation is.

If you're at your wits' end you can email me at [email protected]. That however is where I direct most of my spam so 1) you might get a late reply 2) you might not get a reply at all if the mail is lost in the spam box.

Same situation here. Moved here a couple of months ago and not sure how to tap into the 'scene' (if any) over here. Any further suggestions?
