Hey guys & gals,
I'm Cassy, 24/F, born in Singapore but have lived in China and UK for around 12 years total. Currently living and working in Singapore (living in the East, working in the West...ouch!)
Anyway, I try to organise an expat gathering every month for new/seasoned expats alike to meet new people and have a good time. Next gathering planned for Saturday 25th Jan (evening) - bar crawl down boat quay starting around 9pm.
Do get in touch if you're interested! x

SMS, I believe you have a point, but can you share your knowledge on the subject matter? I want to match it with my experience.

The Eagles are meeting the night before you should offer to combine the two events

There is a reason why our event is by personal invitation only.

On the other hand, WNDC/FNDC work fine to extent.

And the Sunday Brunch group and the Weekenders.
Use the search function in this forum. They are fluffy and they don't bite.

Unfortunately I am taking a break on asking people to come along for the Weekenders and I think poc4hontas is too for brunches... (for me, it's most likely because I ran out of ideas on what the next gathering should be about...and the rest just don't want to post ideas in the thread I've made...)
And senior members, I've met OP already in the beginning of my ventures in this forum when she first made one of her posts for a food outing and drinks. (Before I made Weekenders thread)
She's pretty cool, and she does have healthy group of expats.

Well, if it's a real girl, and not "swingers-party-ad-dude", maybe I'll go check it out? Still thinking though - depends how much and how long do I drink on Friday with forumers.

Really Akimbo? out of ideas already?
I'm more than willing to text you dozens of ideas

, thing is you'll need to make sure everyone attends, and that is quite impossible in this forum

Yeah, well...ran out of "new ideas" that
I want to do anyway...
Sure we have the rock and roll at Fort Canning that you want to go to, or the Taking Back Sunday concert, or of course the Bruno Mars concert that I will go to. We still have Shakespeare in the Park: Merchant of Venice in April, musicals in Marina Bay Sands...or of course, day trips to Bintan, Batam, Diving/Snorkeling at Tioman, climbing Kinabalu, Phuket trip and so on and a so on.
But yeah, maybe I just get tired of putting things up and making sure everyone attends to it from this forum, that's all...a time to recuperate and just follow everybody else's ideas for now
Kudos for the WNDC, FNDC organizers for always putting the invites up every week
