Try this. The name is so American Chinese by itself haha!
Chopsuey Cafe. # 01 - 23. Block 10. Dempsey Rd. Singapore.
Some British even wondered if they can find British Indian food here. Any idea?

Theres Indian Chinese if you want, its somehwat closely related to the American Chinese. There are a few restaurants in Little India that make this stuff. Its usually a spiced up version of Chinese food.
Jade of India on race course road is a nice place to go for stuff like this
have a look at the menu its somewhat similar to American Chinese I suspect

Eh, the American stuff tends to just be fried and really sweet/sugary. Not really spicy like Indian Chinese (which I enjoy). They take out the MSG but replace it with HFCS.
The only 'American Chinese' I ever had, or the closest to it, was the Kung Pao Chicken at a Food Republic stall that just friend up various Chicken dishes. Lemon Chicken, Orange Chicken, etc. The one I had it at was at Parkway, and they closed that stall. The other suggestion is one of those Chinese restaurants that are the anchor tenants in the smaller coffee shop hawker centers. Try ordering Kung Pao chicken from them, and ask them to make it sweeter. You can say "gang bao ji ding", gang rhyming with 'khan'. That will also taste similar.

I took a picture of American Chopsuey and posted in my facebook page "American Chopsuey in an Indianized Chinese restaurant in Singapore"
I know this American Chopsuey has nothing American about it, its just very popular in chinese restaurants in India.
