Singapore Expats

Dear All,

I would like to enquire on rules and regulations that govern the International Schools found in Singapore - and the new rules for "Complusory Schooling" - Specifically, are Singaporean children (with one expat parent) allowed to enroll in International Schools?

I would appreciate any information and advice as I am very interested in placing my child (Singaporean by Nationality) into an International School.

There are a few International Schools in Singapore at the moment. From people working in these schools, I do know that Overseas Family School does take in students that are Singaporean (with non-Singapore parent). However others are more strict. American school does not do that. They only accept americans.

I spent 4 years at UWC. I did come across Singaporean kids, but they were pretty few and far between. Nevertheless, with a name like that I'd be surprised if they had a policy against taking on local kids.
