Singapore Expats

I am planning to enter Singapore with my IPA letter but just read this:

Candidate’s residential address in Singapore. From 14 September 2018, the candidate’s residential address must meet the housing requirements before you can get the pass issued.

I am the owner of an IT company and the first employee coming in. We don't have any company guest house etc. I was planning to stay in large hotel Service Apartment while my pass is being issued and in the meantime search for a permanent home in Singapore? Can the hotel address with room number be used as the "residential address" to issue the pass?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Yes it can. I was in a hotel for the first month when I was here and used that address for the pass issuance and also to set up a local bank account. Once you've found a permanent address you can change your address for the EP online.

Is there any place on the MoM website or other documentation anywhere which says this would be OK to do? Did you call MoM or did your company say this was fine to do?

It was a while ago but from memory I was told by my company HR to use the hotel address.

Hi it's a post from a while ago but were you able to submit a hotel address?? I'll be staying in a friends house not a hotel but I am curious if the hotel address was no problem as a residential address...
