Hello everyone,
Would like to seek your views on our PR application chances. Our application is via my husband who is a PR.
Sponsor (husband)
PR since 2006
Earning 140K annually
IT industry
47 yrs old
PR Applicant # 1 (wife, me)
Working in Singapore since 2008
Applied PR twice (while single), rejected
Earning 100K annually
IT industry
38 yrs old
PR Applicant # 2 (son)
15 months old, born in Singapore, now on LTVP
We are Filipinos.
We are married for less than 2 years. Turning 2 this July 2023 only.
Husband has already acquired a private
property in Singapore, where we are now residing. Property transferred to his name Aug 2021 before our son was born. I’m not sure if this will help us in our application in any way.

Salary, length of stay, and the fact that you have a son are all factors in your favor. Age and nationality work against you.

Hello everyone,
Would like to seek your views on my PR application chances. My application will be via my wife who is a PR. As we only got married last month, I intend to wait until next January before applying.
Extra information:
Previous rejection in 2020 when I applied for PR while on an EP.
My wife is a nurse and Singapore is actively trying to retain nurses. Does that help my overall application?

Second stint working in Singapore: 2017-2021 and then from Jan 2023
Applied PR once (while single), rejected

30 yrs old
Caucasian with British passport
Educated to postgraduate level
I know a child might help but we aren't sure if we want one. I think my chances are at best okay but definitely better then if I were applying as a single white male!

My gut reaction is about the same as your assessment. Greater than lottery odds (whatever one wants to classify those as) but perhaps less than a coin-flip.
Does your wife want to convert to SC or still keeping all of the options open (maybe, maybe not)?

Wait for 2 years of marriage before applying via family ties scheme. 1 year is still too short. Your wife can take these 2 years to improve her salary or she can covert to SG citizenship and then sponsor your PR. It is easier to get PR as a spouse of a citizen compared to spouse of a PR.
If your wife was the PR applicant instead of you, her occupation would have been favourable. But since the applicant is you, they will be looking at you instead so her occupation does not matter at this point. She has to be able to financially sponsor you and herself, that’s what sponsoring means.

yes we applied in Sept 2023 and only got results this month. Just apply there is a miracle. Just keep praying for it. God hears our prayers
