We are an American family who has lived overseas for the past two years. Our chidren 6 and 10 have attended an International School in Beijing. We will be moving to Singapore in the Fall and can not decide between UWC and SAS. Any opinions? We will be living in the Sunset area. We plan to be in Singapore for two plus years.

hi,

i think UWC is a better choice if you want your children to mix with a lot of other International School students in the school. furthermore, i think its nearer to your home too :D

 I went to SAS from 1975-1989..what a wonderful experience! Although, the school has moved from Kings Rd off of Farrer Rd to the Woodlands area not sure if that is close to you or not. If you are looking for diversity then I can assure you, SAS has it! I'm sure UWC is wonderful as well...good luck! :D

UWC has a far greater diversity than SAS 90% of SAS is americans, so if you want a school like your children would have at home then this is the best option. UWC doesnot have any one nationality which stands out, the ECA program is excelent

Check out the SAS website to look at the distribution of nationalities in the school. It is definitely NOT 90% Americans. I was actually very surprised to see the wide variety of nationalities attending the school

Diversity, I agree with you. Why do people perpetuate such misconceptions? SAS has a very broad spectrum of nationalities in both students and teachers. Here is the current breakdown:
