Singapore Expats

I will be moving to Singapore with my family in September. My son will be starting Kindergarten next year and my daughter may start in 2007.

Just wondering which International School is good. We are from Australia and are leaning towards the Australian School but will be willing to look at others that are more conveniently located.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'd recommend the International Community School at 514 Kampong Bahru Road. It's English speaking, American curriculum, and they accept most any children who wish to attend, no matter what their English capability is. They offer an extensive ESL program for those who need more help with English. Check out the website for more details and cost information: www.ics.edu.sg ... it's an affiliate of the Network of International Christian Schools, which you can see at www.nics.org. It's the best by far...and that's where I'd take my child...wanting them to have a Biblical worldview...you'll be blessed as a result! It's great that you have a lot of choices in International Schools, but few offerings that are strongly Christian. [email protected] is a good address for more info.

Hi, we recently moved from Sydney. We decided on the Australian School, although we were also open to other schools. We got a really good feeling about the school when we went to visit. All the kids were happy and seemed to enjoying themselves. My daughter will be going into Prep next year (that's what they call Kindergarten here), she is currently at the preschool and loves it. My son will be starting preschool next year. I would highly recommend the school!!
