Kindergarten/preschool for 6 months near Univ Singapore

This forum is incredibly helpful! We are moving to Singapore for only six months, January-July 2008. Our children are currently 5 and 3 and they will be that age as of Sept. 1, 2007. So I think that one will be in one of the kindergarten (?) levels and the other in preschool. We will be living in faculty housing near the University of Singapore's main Kent Ridge campus, but my husband will be teaching at the law school at the Bukit Timah campus.

Do you think we have any chance of getting the children into an International School? Are there any other options-- like preschools/kindergartens near the University's two campuses? I have emailed many of the International Schools, but I'm not too hopeful. Are there any schools which particularly allow flexible admissions situations like ours?

I so appreciate any advice-- Thanks! Greta

You can try inquiring at Learning Vision. Their NUS center (http://www.learningvision.com/centers.a ... +Singapore) is open only to children of NUS staff and is located right within the Kent Vale Staff Housing.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Has anyone heard anything about Avondale (for the older child)? Or toured it? I read favorable reports on the Anglo expat forum.

most schools dont accept students for only 1 or 2 terms if they do, they would need you to pay for full year facilities which isnt fair, i feel.
