Salary question

Hello all,

I am thinking of relocating to Singapore in Jan 09. I have a job offer of S$ 3.600 base salary plus commission so it can be as much as S$ 6.700/month.
My questions are:
1. Would that be enough for me to look after my wife and daughter well? (good 2 bedroom apartment, food, transport, leisure activities and so on)
2. Could I be able to pay for an International School for my daughter age of 10? - I saw that some school there will cost nearly S$ 20.000 a year :?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

With regard to school tuition, expect to pay at least $20,000 to $29,000 per year. And be very careful in selecting a school. I know some folks that thought they had the right school for their son, only to be very unhappy shortly after he entered school.

spore is a hectic country...high maintainance too...
if ur salary is low, it wouldnt be enough to sustain your life and
daily expenses here...
transport, dining all counts... :)

way too low, dont even bother considering it.
Singapore isnt a cheap place to live in - particularly education and rent.

to be honest, living in a decent flat would probably cost you 3-4k alone
