We are moving to Singapore in the Spring, visiting in March to find schools for our 5.5 and 2.5 year old sons. Does anyone have knowledge of the year to year fluctuations in tuitions at
International Schools? We'd love to know if there are dramatic financial changes yearly or termly - we'd love to know prior to finalizing our company contract to cover such changes.
Many thanks in advance - this is a wonderful resorce website! Offered much help to ease the anxiety with our upcoming transfer to Singapore.

You can assume they go up every year. ("Fluctuations" sounds like up and down - they only move in one direction.)
I doubt schools implement dramatic increases - it just wouldn't be good for the community or the school.

There may be some with the new Council for Private Education Act--some schools will no longer be able to charge a deposit (which can be quite crippling $10k+++). It will be interesting come June to see who will still be standing--and what they'll be charging!

Our basic school fees have remained the same over the past 3 years - but the bus fees have increased and also when the GST increased the fees rose by 2%.

You may just need to browse thru the list of
International School in Singapore and select one based on yr preferance. Basically,
the preschool Singapore American School is at Marsiling ( north of Singapore) but there are Australian / Canadian /..)
I am a Administrator at a tuition Centre, so basically I update myself on the syllabus( or School curriculum).
Hope this helps.

Hi there,
I have heard from a friend that the Canadian School and Chatsworth are planning hikes but as yet I have seen no actual paper confirmation from the schools.
Oh and I also heard of prices hikes for Eton house. Again though this could be just rumours?
