Serviced Apartment?

Hi

When we relocate to Singapore in February we have been advised to rent a Serviced Apartment for 3-6 months while we research the various districts and decide where we would like to live. This sounds like a great idea in theory but when I've been looking into services apartments they seem very expensive! Would any recommend renting a serviced apartment and how much would you expect to pay for a 1 or 2 bed?

Thanks :)

Are you sure you hear the recommendation correctly? 3 to 6 weeks sounds more normal. Most go for 1 or 2 months max at a Serviced Apartment due to the costs involved.

Hi MrsG09,

From what I know, the rough range for Service Apartments for a 1 bedroom is about $5-6k

I happen to stay at one of the more affordable Service Apartment before. Its a small service apartment at the side of town but it suited me just fine during my stay there.
This is their website : http://www.alocassia.com.sg/home.php

I hope that this would be helpful to you.

Cheers! :D

i suggest staying in a hotel. I'm sure the price is not as expensive as a Service Apartment. Hotels have a good package for long-term stay, check it out.

Looking for a house in Singapore is not much of a problem if u have a realistic budget.

Good luck!!
