Singapore Expats

I'm guessing the answer to this question will be no, but doesn't hurt to ask anyway. We would call the school direct but it seems they are on break now.

Anyway, have enrolled our 7 year old into SAIS. We're excited for her, the campus looks awesome & the fact that it's a small school will be great.. she's coming from one of the largest public schools in our state!

We're moving to Singapore in late Feb, which means that the American school term will be more than half over. Was wondering whether SAIS would pro-rata the school term fees or are we expected just to pay the full fees? Seems unfair to pay for a large chunk that we never used but have to admit the school has us by the proverbial "short & curlies" as otherwise we get put on the wait list, & we don't want that...

I believe they won't pro-rata to less than one term. It might even be more than that. Varies a bit from school to school and depends on how much stroke (pedigree) you have.

They do not pro-rate the fees or tuition. I think this is standard practice for most, if not all, the International Schools here.

Not sure if you had the opportunity to tour the campus, but it is considered large for Singapore. It covers nursery thru 12th grade once construction is finished next year. Many people find the campus and population big for little ones. It's definitely state-of-the-art.
