Just wondering what folks think of the new wait list policy at UWC - they are doing away with multi-year wait lists, and getting people to reapply reach year. And pay each year of course, though not nearly as much as under the old scheme.

I can't decide if this is better or worse.

I spoke with them today to arrange a visit and they said it wasn't worth it even though my kids wont be here until next year. Over 100 on waiting list for P2.....they dont foresee any spare in P1. This is for East Coast

I have heard differing views of the new admission policy. some say that even after you get in, you still have to reapply to get into the following year. Is that true?

So have they just abolished the wait list so u can apply the year u wish to get in. thereafter, u can just continue till u graduate.

pls advise/clarify.

Hi, instead of waiting, why not try putting your children into the local government schools? Of course, that depends on whether your children are able to take the rigour of the local education system. Otherwise, you might want to look for other International Schools

Foreigners can rarely get a spot in local schools these days. I know because I've tried two years in a row. Not an option.

Then if that's the case, it would be good to look for International Schools that offer the curriculum similar to your home country. For example Tanglin Trust, Swiss school, Canadian International School etc

Friend, I think you're trying to be helpful, but let's go back to the original post. Question was what do people think about UWC's confusing new policy. Thanks those who had some thoughts on that...
