Neighborhood lights and Sentosa fireworks?

I know there is Orchard but are there any neighborhoods with lights? In America, entire neighborhoods decorate, sometimes in themes. Just wondering if there is anythign like that. Also, we are planning to go down to Sentosa and heard there were fireworks at 8. Anyone know the best place to see them ...

I used to get quite a lot of review offers in US. NONE here. A few months back I received an offer to visit an art exhibit and a free ticket. However, no ticket for husband kept me from really being free to go. I'm not much on that type of thing without my husband. I do get some really awesome email...

Glad to have you! I've been here about a year. Love it!

But when I went to America last month, I stocked up on clothes. I'm short...but fat. LOL. No clothes for me here.

Just wanted to say hi and good luck. Email me if you would like to talk or if you have more questions. Love to visit!

Island wide it's great. Etsy, okay. Anywhere else is an arm and a leg to ship. At Christmas time I usually do 3/4's of my shopping online. Not here. I HAVE to go to stores. Because I've also found that just because it looks good, the quality may not be. Have you heard of Gmarket? I shop there a lot....

The Better Toy Story is my favorite place to shop but they are uber expensive. Watch for sales. I second Toys R Us, but the selection is minimal. Thirdly, and I probably can't give the name, I found an online shop that delivers. I had a GREAT experience with them. I was looking for a particular Meli...

Where to find reasonable computers?

Yes, I did a search, but not much came up. We were JUST in America, and our daughter told us she needed a new computer for school, plus mine is having some bad days, but I thought they would be cheaper here. I'm kicking myself. Does anyone know where to find cheaper computers? We dont need much. Jus...

I just find these little things difficult to deal with. I hate confrontation and I find myself having to discuss/boss around someone besides my kids. I'd say, make sure she has a pair of shoes by the back door...by A) buying her a pair of cheap plastic flops or B) telling her to buy herself an extra...

colds/sickness

We get sick here about every 6 weeks. We've had a child with no less than 6 colds in the almost year we've been here. That's up from about one a year. I think part of it is our bodies learning to fight different viruses and such. But I'm wondering if some of it's a lack of proper hygiene and dish wa...

We all make adjustments and sacrifices as we see fit. There will NEVER be a time in my life (as a homeschooling mom of 5) where I will be able to have help with cleaning, cooking and laundry. YOU BET I'm taking it. Our home in America was 1/4 the size it is now. We don't pay for our home or car. So ...

I can tell you what I spend: about 1200-1400 a month. Gasp! We have a large family and a maid; 5 kids: 13, 12, 5, 3, 18 months. We buy largely organic and natural products. And lots and lots of snacks. My kids have at least 2 snacks a day, plus meals, and lots of bread and milk. Also, included in th...

Everywhere has different products and prices. And sometimes every time you go it's different. Bukit Timah Plaza has a Fair Price Finest that has great products, including fresh produce, for reasonable prices. However, they are limited on what they have. and are often out of stock. There is a store o...
