Re: Internships for JC grads

We’ve been taking interns from Temasek Poly for years now. Quite proud that our pre-COVID intern finished university and came back to us for the full-time role. We just started taking interns from NYP as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What industry are you in? Something health related if ...

Re: PR application and medical records

Tbh, you are seeking therapy, and a successful outcome can be certified by a licensed therapist. I’ve hired a candidate who had to disclose the background to HR, with certificate of clearance from the therapist. We hired the guy (I like to give people a chance). Hopefully PR assessment will take in ...

Certain sensitive government areas mandate only Singaporean citizens are permitted, no exceptions. Once someon...

Re: Will Darlie toothpaste be next?

I remember Darkie from my childhood days, Gran would get it from Hong Kong. When I got here, my bro and I also commented that it had changed a bit… In Cornwall, UK, they also had an annual Darkie Day festival - local village would go Blackface to commemorate the passing of a slave ship. My black col...

Re: Has anybody been to the Van Gogh exhibition?

We booked for May Day holiday, hope our kids will enjoy. Would be good to hear feedback but I suspect we’ll go anyway because my wife likes VG. Think you only have the resorts world basement parking, unless you go to the other end of the island near the W hotel or Shangri-La? Sent from my iPhone usi...

Re: How to do saving & lower cost of living in Singapore?

Alcohol is prohibitively expensive in general, avoid smoking and drinking!

Shop in wet markets near the close of trading times for potential deals on meat and fruit - if you aren’t picky about the best produce. Depends on the market

Will need to watch your diet and fluid intake for long term management. My GP friend said he sees a lot amongst marathon runners, people most likely to dehydrate in SG.

Get on the cranberry juice…

You can try sushi/ sashimi too.

Expensive (well, you choose how much to spend at the supermarket) but a nice variation.

They are crazy expensive though! Definitely an investment. Yeah, therefore i always try to get it off carousell, there are some which are sub 800 available at times, and can be potentially a good buy. Size and functionality are what i also pay attention to I’ve been really intrigued by kneeling cha...
